Arinze Jeffrey

Software engineer based in Lagos, building exceptional web experiences.

I've been passionate about building things for as long as I can remember. What started as curiosity about how websites work evolved into a career crafting seamless user experiences with modern web technologies.

My journey has taken me from Lagos to Berlin, where I spent nearly three years at Bitcrowd as a Software Engineer, working on diverse projects including AI-powered medical diagnostics at Charité. There, I contributed to research that's helping radiologists diagnose cases more effectively, work that was eventually published in Nature Scientific Reports.

Most recently, I served as the sole engineer at Suncture, where I rapidly built and deployed a full-stack conversational AI application from scratch. I integrated OpenAI and ElevenLabs APIs, designed scalable backend architectures, and implemented monitoring systems, all while collaborating closely with QA to ensure a stable, production-ready product.

Beyond my full-time roles, I've freelanced extensively, building everything from invoicing platforms to AI-powered presentation tools. I enjoy the variety, one month I'm architecting PostgreSQL schemas and building RESTful APIs, the next I'm creating custom canvas editors with Fabric.js or setting up Docker containers for LLM servers.

I also mentor junior engineers, helping them navigate the challenges of modern web development. There's something rewarding about seeing someone grasp a difficult concept or ship their first feature.

When I'm not coding (though I do love coding like crazy), you'll find me training in boxing, I've gotten pretty good at it. I also lift weights regularly, explore new restaurants around Lagos, play the piano, sketch, and unwind with video games or watching UFC fights. And yes, I cook too, sometimes the best debugging happens while making a good meal.
